One of the Greatest Sports Shows in the Nation

I want to start by giving my condolences to Jason Smith and Family on the passing of his dad, Les Smith. He was a very nice man and a staple in our community. You may not remember this, but Les kind of moonlighted as an Equipment Manager for the Mighty Sound of the South. I was on the drumline during that time and even though Les was like a celebrity in the city. He ALWAYS treated us with the utmost respect and was nice to us every time.

I so appreciate everyone on the show for sharing their heart and being EXCELLENT representatives of the face and heart of Memphis in the sports arena. I also appreciate Jason and Brad sharing their faith with courage and humility and John for showing respect for their faith while being transparent in that he is still searching for his faith in the process.

I will be honest, prior to the genesis of your show, I was a diehard Chris Vernon fan. So I was a bit skeptical of you guys at the beginning. But I am NOT going to lie. You won me over with the Tubby Smith calls to recruits. My friends and I still reference that bit as an inside joke YEARS later. Your show is funny, real, honest and it is MEMPHIS.

You guys embody all of that in your show and I just wanted to take the time to say thank you, also to say that you guys are doing an AWESOME job and that I appreciate the work that you do!

It is MY utmost goal and calling to encourage and motivate all of 901 to approach our city with Positivity, Faith, Pride and Gratefulness.

Respectfully,
