"Lord I thank you for the opportunity to enjoy collegiate level and professional level athletics in this city. I thank you that every young man on these roster's life is changing for the better , and not just theirs but their families lives and the lives of their generations to come. I pray against any injuries, illnesses, travel miscues, scandals, envy, jealousy or mischief to overtake them while the season is progressing and as the season starts. I thank you in advance that they will be GREAT REPRESENTATIVES for our city and they will perform better than they can even ask, think or imagine. I thank you for their coaches, mentors and inner-circle. I thank you that they are all moving in the same direction - UPWARD towards a season that not only honors this city, but it honors YOU! Help each player, coach and support member to provide sound discipline and tough love when needed. Let them NOT forget that they were created on purpose for a purpose and they are walking in it RIGHT NOW! In Jesus' Name I Pray - AMEN!"
